Steel String Kiku
(The Ultimate Travel Guitar)
Introducing the new John S. Kinnard Steel String Kiku.
We refer to this as a "pocket" guitar as it features 6 strings on a baritone body size with a 19-3/4" scale neck and 1-3/4" width at the nut. This, first in the series build, sports a Walnut body and neck with a Carpathian Spruce top. It is accented with ivoroid binding and Rosewood for the bridge and fretboard. The Walnut neck uses a dual acting truss rod and the Rosewood faceplate with inlayed logo sports Gotoh open gear tuning machines.
The tone and volume that comes out of this small bodied instrument is amazing and it handles a pick as well as played finger style as shown in the sound samples below.
